Tehran dismissed US claims that three senior al-Qaeda members were present in Iran, the Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi said.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran does not have any information at hand regarding presence of the individuals in its territory," Sputnik cited Qassemi as saying.
He added that Iran maintained firm anti-terrorist determination according to its international commitments. The official reportedly called on the United States to share anti-terrorist data and prepare the ground for cooperation in the field rather than raise "general claims."
On July 20, the US Department of the Treasury imposed sanctions on three al-Qaeda senior members that it claimed were currently located in Iran.
