‘‘Iran won’t send warships to Syria,’’ the Iranian Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said today, commenting on the deployment of military ships in the Syrian port of Tartus in order to participate in possible operations against the terrorist group Islamic State, YJC reports.
"We have no plans to send warships to the port of Tartus, but we are ready for any operations," Trend cites Sayyari.
The Commander of the Iranian Navy also noted that Iran didn’t launch any missiles on Syrian objects from Iran's territorial waters in the Caspian Sea.
