Today in Tehran, the Iranian and German Foreign Ministers, Mohammad Javad Zarif and Frank-Walter Steinmeier, discussed the fight against terrorism and the human rights protection before the meeting of the target group of the Munich Security Conference.
"Today we discussed bilateral relations between our countries, as well as a number of political issues such as terrorism and human rights. We have achieved positive progress on a number of points," Zarif stated at a press conference on the outcome of the bilateral negotiations, RIA Novosti reports.
The Iranian Foreign Minister also expressed hope that "the recent visit by a German delegation to Tehran laid the groundwork for successful cooperation" between the two countries.
