Iran's Oil Ministry has decided to liquidate National Iranian Gas Exporting Company (NIOC) and create gas exporting department within the country's national oil company.
Ali Amirani has been appointed as the acting head of the gas exporting department, Trend reports.
Under the decision, the National Iranian Gas Company will be in charge of exporting gas through pipelines but exports of gas in the forms of LNG will be carried by the newly created gas exporting department.
