The Iraqi Oil Ministry spokesman, Assem Jihad, said today that the renewed US sanctions against Iran are harming Baghdad first of all.
“Iraq suffers the most from these sanctions, because Iraq basically relies on Iran’s gas and electricity, and the suspension of their exports means that there will be no alternatives for the moment or in the near future,” he explained, RIA Novosti reports.
