Iraqis oppose deployment of Turkish troops in Mosul

At least 4000 opponents of the deployment of the Turkish troops in the region of Mosul gathered in Tahrir Square in central Baghdad yesterday evening, and thousands of others marched in the city of Basra, according to Reuters.

At the same time, Turkey hopes to defuse tensions with Baghdad, agreeing to transfer the training camp of the Kurds in Iraq, where its troops are based under the auspices of the international coalition forces to combat the terrorist group Daesh (ISIS), the Turkish newspaper Hurriyet reports.
