Baku is a lucky city for Israeli gymnasts, head coach of Israeli national rhythmic gymnastics team Irina Vidgorchik said in an interview with Vestnik Kavkaza.
"I really love this city. We showed best results in Baku over the past 15 years. That's why I'm really grateful to Azerbaijan for tournaments it hosts," she said.
"Azerbaijan always has perfect organization of tournaments, and it also helps us to perform," she added.
The International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup was held at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku on April 27-29. Some 127 gymnasts from 26 countries participated in the tournament. Athletes competed for 8 medal sets.
