The Russian and the Azerbaijani karate contenders performing in the kumite karate discipline went through to the semi-finals of the competition at the First European Games this morning. There won’t be competition between them, as the Azerbaijani athlete Irina Zaretska will fight for the title of champion of the European Games in the category up to 68 kg, and Ivanna Zaitseva, the Russian sportswoman is contending in the category over 68 kg.
At 14:05 MSK Irina Zaretska will fight Marina Rakovica from Montenegro. Their fight will be preceded by a fight between Alice Theresa Buchinger from Austria and Elena Kvirichi from Switzerland.
