Russian boxer Ismail Mutsolgov became the World Boxing Champion in Dubai, defeating Kazakhstan's Sabyrzhan Akkalykov in the final.
Mutsolgov won gold in the 75 kg weight class. Vsevolod Shumkov and Ilya Popov previously won gold medals for the Russian national team. Six other athletes from Russia won silver medals.
