Israel halted visits by Jews and tourists to a Jerusalem holy site, Temple Mount, until the end of the holy Muslim month of Ramadan, expected around April 20.
Following a meeting with senior defence establishment officials, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, along with defence minister Yoav Gallant and national security minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, decided to “prohibit the entry of Jewish visitors and tourists to the Temple Mount until the end of Ramadan,” the statement from Netanyahu said.
