Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz announced the continuation of the operation against Islamic Jihad after assessing the situation together with the heads of law enforcement agencies, the press service of the ministry reports.
"Minister Gantz instructed the military department to continue the operation against Islamic Jihad, focusing on preventing rocket attacks on Israel," the statement reads.
The department said that the situation was assessed by the head of the army general staff Aviv Kochavi, members of the Ministry of Defense, the head of the IDF intelligence department and other high-ranking representatives of law enforcement agencies.
