From the very beginning of the war in Syria in 2011, Tel Aviv decided not to interfere with the course of events during the conflict, Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon said at the Munich Conference on Security.
"With regard to Israel's policy towards Syria, we decided for ourselves earlier not to intervene,’’ he said.
"We set for ourselves the interests, from the very beginning we said that we would not tolerate violation of our sovereignty. When there were such attempts, we have responded to them." the Israeli minister said.
