Israel may reach compromise on judicial reform

The Israeli President announced that negotiations are ongoing on the judicial overhaul that has caused much controversy. Negotiations are proceeding in a positive way, which gives hope for a compromise solution.

Negotiations are ongoing in Israel with the participation of the main political forces regarding judicial reform, President Yitzhak Herzog said, noting that the negotiations are going positively, which gives hope for a compromise.

“Over the past few days, my team and I have had a series of meetings with representatives of the coalition and opposition. The meetings were held in a good atmosphere, we talked a lot about the procedure itself aimed at reaching agreements, about the mechanisms of negotiations, about the model of behavior and the way of making decisions,”

the President of Israel said.

Further, the head of state expressed the hope that through discussion the parties will be able to come to a compromise solution and reach substantial agreements.

He also noted that he carefully listens to all incoming proposals.
