Israel starts exporting gas to Jordan

Israel has started supplying natural gas to Jordan for the first time in history, Delek Drilling CEO Yossi Abu said.

"We started exports at the start of this year, not huge volumes, but it's still export, to Jordan," Sputnik cited Abu as saying.

Gas from the Tamar field is being supplied to two Jordanian customers, namely the Jordan Bromine Company and the Arab Potash Company, which signed a 15-year $10-billion deal in 2014 to import 2 billion cubic metres of gas.
