Israel carried out a series of airstrikes late Monday, targeting several locations across Syria, the Syrian news agency reported.
The targeted areas included the outskirts of Homs in central Syria, the coastal city of Latakia, and the desert city of Palmyra.
According to the Al Ikhbariya TV channel, one of the strikes targeted Syrian army barracks in the town of Sqoubin.
Another airstrike hit a training camp and ammunition depots near the city of Palmyra.
Earlier, Al Ikhbariya reported Israeli airstrikes on a suburb of the Syrian city of Homs where an air defense forces college is located. Explosions were also heard in the Shinshar district south of Homs and a settlement that hosts the Syrian army’s ammunition depots.
Syria's Foreign Ministry condemned the Israeli airstrikes as "a blatant infringement" of its sovereignty and regional stability, saying they were part of an ongoing series of escalations pursued by Israel against Syrian territory.
There was no immediate comment from Israel.
