Israel to join U.S. visa waiver program

Israel expects to join the U.S. Visa Waiver Programme in September, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, after Israeli legislation of measures required by Washington.

"In the coming months, we will fulfill the additional requirements, and in September 2023, the State of Israel is expected to enter the list of visa-exempt countries for the U.S.," Netanyahu said.

The visa waiver program will allow Israeli citizens to travel to the U.S. visa-free, which is not currently possible.
