Riots broke out at Jerusalem's Al-Aqsa Mosque, which was attended by Palestinians.
They barricaded themselves inside this religious building, and the Israeli police started throwing stones. A special police unit was sent in connection with outbreaks of fighting in the area of the mosque.
The riots were the result of aggravation of the situation around the Al-Aqsa Mosque, connected with the ban imposed by the Defense Minister, Moshe Ya'alon, on the activities of two Muslim groups, whose members were against it being visited by Israelis, Gazeta.ru reports.
