Itochu keen to expand co-op with SOCAR

Japan’s Itochu Corporation is interested in expanding cooperation with Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR, Masahiro Imai, a member of the board at Itochu, said, Trend reports.

Imai made the remarks at a meeting with SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev in Baku Dec. 8.

During the meeting, Imai expressed satisfaction with implementation of projects in which Itochu is involved, SOCAR said in a message Dec. 8.

In his turn, Abdullayev expressed confidence that joint projects will be successfully continued. There are prospects for intensifying cooperation with Japanese companies, he added.
