Azerbaijan is really good in organizing tournaments, I like everything here, U.S. gymnast Jade Carey said, speaking with Vestnik Kavkaza after performing in the vault exercise qualification at the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup in Baku.
"I think today was really good. I competed in vault. It was exciting for me to land and do it well," she admitted in the first place.
"It's my first time in Baku. So far, I like being here a lot. This environment is really cool. And the crowd seems like they really love gymnastics and they are very supporting. The organization of the tournament is good," the U.S. gymnast emphasized.
Jade Carey also added that she intends to get to know Baku better. "We’ve got to walk around a little bit. But we are planning to go walk around more today," the athlete said.
The FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup is held at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku on March 14-17. According to the new rules, the World Cup is a qualifying event for Tokyo-2020 Summer Olympic Games. 170 gymnasts from 41 countries will contest medals at the tournament.
