Nagorno-Karabakh cannot be recognized as an independent entity by Armenia, because the result of such a move there would be "a dangerous military response" from Azerbaijan, the US co-chairman of the OSCE Minsk Group James Warlick stated.
"Both Armenia and Azerbaijan committed themselves to taking steps towards a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. We assure them of our commitment to continue working with the parties on the basis of negotiations," Trend quoted Warlick as saying.
The diplomat reminded that today the region has an extremely high level of tension, and warned Armenia from taking any actions which may lead to further escalation of the conflict.
