Japanese Foreign Ministry announces new anti-Russian sanctions

Japan has imposed sanctions implying, among other things, an asset freeze, where applicable, on 39 Russian individuals.

The latest blacklist was published by the Japanese Foreign Ministry on Tuesday.

Tokyo also slapped sanctions against Russian legal entities. An asset freeze will apply to 73 of the blacklisted entities.

The latest Japanese restrictions will likely affect the export of drones, however, the country’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry has promised to outline the details later.
