Jews around the world celebrate Passover: this is the main holiday in Judaism, dedicated to the events known as the Exodus from Egypt.
The Passover is celebrated on the 14th day of the spring month of Nisan according to the Hebrew calendar. In 2021, the holiday is celebrated from Saturday evening, March 27, until Sunday evening, April 4.
Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Russian Jews on the holiday, noting the great and demanded work of Jewish organizations aimed at developing international humanitarian ties, the Kremlin press service said.
