The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, wrote on his Instagram page that the republic already became one of the sports capitals of Russia. "I said about about this a few years ago, and the goal is reached sooner than we expected," he noted.
Kadyrov reminded that at one point, Chechen athletes had to train outside the republic, since there was no infrastructure or other conditions in Chechnya. "All of this is now in the past!" he stressed.
