Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov and governor of Voronezh region Alexei Gordeyev discussed incident with Chechnya natives by phone.
Kadyrov said that during conversation head of the region expressed regret over the incident. "He noted that leadership of Voronezh region is doing everything to preserve and strengthen interethnic peace and harmony."
Earlier, Voronezh police officers demanded two Chechen women with children to show documents without explaining the reason for their demands, while behaving incorrectly and rudely. When their father and brother arrived to help them, police detained them.
