Muslims from the African country of Guinea-Bissau expressed gratitude to Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov for his help in performing the pilgrimage to Mecca.
Earlier, the regional public foundation named after Akhmat Kadyrov has begun the construction of five mosques in Africa, the Grozny Chechen State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company reported.
The fund has held charity events dedicated to one of the main Muslim holidays, Eid al-Adha, both in Chechnya and abroad.
In addition, thanks to the foundation, some 500 Muslims from Africa were able to make the Hajj (pilgrimage to Mecca and its environs).
