The era of old soviet apartments is over in Tbilisi, - Kakha Kaladze, Georgian Dream’s Tbilisi mayoral candidate, says in his video address released on the social network, Interpress news agency reported.
According to Kaladze, people cannot live in the houses, the exploitation period of which has been expired and dangerous.
“I plan to present my program in the near future. Prior to that, I wish to announce that the era of old soviet apartments is over in Tbilisi. People cannot live in the houses the exploitation period of which has been expired. We have a very interesting project, according to which, these houses will be gradually replaced by new ones. Tbilisi will be freed from soviet remnants. This will be one of the main priorities of my team. During the process of replacement, residents of theses houses will be provided alternative housing or compensations”, said Kaladze.
