Today, the cities and districts of Karachay-Cherkessia will host events dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of the Caucasian War victims.
In his speech at the anniversary of the Caucasian War, acting head of Karachay-Cherkessia Rashid Temrezov noted that "current and future generations must remember the lessons of the Caucasian War, so that tragic events of those years would never repeat again."
"Only together, as part of great Russia, we can preserve our unique national culture, peace and harmony," he said.
