Karkijahan, near Khankendi, is back to life: the first group of displaced persons has arrived. 30 families received keys to their new homes.
The first group of internally displaced persons arrived in the village of Karkijahan, which is part of the Azerbaijani city of Khankendi. The first group of new settlers includes 30 families, totaling 117 people.
The Azerbaijani anthem was played during the ceremony, and a moment of silence was observed in honor of the heroes of the Karabakh War. Elchin Yusubov, special representative of the President of Azerbaijan in Khankendi, Aghdere and Khojaly districts, presented residents keys to their new apartments.
