Baku is my favorite city for participating in gymnastics competitions, Latvian gymnast Karolina Mizune said, speaking with the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza after the qualification round with clubs and ribbon routines in Baku.
"I really like the tournaments organized by the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation. I've been here at the European Championships in 2014, and I was amazed. This is probably my favorite city for participating in tournaments, the organization of competitions here is great," she said.
"Thanks to the AGF, I am able to perform in complete peace of mind, concentrate on my program, not thinking about anything else. It is also important that the Baku audience warmly supports everyone without exception - it really helps me. And I like to feel the support of the Baku people," Karolina Mizune admitted.
The International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup is being at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku on April 27-29. Some 127 gymnasts from 26 countries are participating in the tournament. Depending on the results of the qualification, the winners of all-around and the participants of the finals in individual apparatus in both types of programs will be determined. Athletes will compete for 8 medal sets.
