The World Chess Cup has come to an end in Baku. Russian grandmaster Sergey Karyakin became the winner for the first time in his career.
In the final game he was stronger than Russian chess player Peter Svidler. After four games the score was 2-2. The chess players had a tie-break, where Karyakin was stronger, RIA Novosti reports.
The victory was the first at the World Cup for the 25-year-old grandmaster.
