Last week, Moscow already informed Washington that the Iranian General Qassem Soleimani did not visit Russia. Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov stated.
"These reports have caused great surprise. Last week we told our American colleagues that we do not have such information, that last week Mr. Soleimani was not in Moscow, and we thought that this matter was closed," the Deputy Foreign Minister reported.
"In the past, the Americans themselves allowed actions that do not meet the requirements of UN Security Council resolutions," he said. "Last year they released four Taliban from Guantanamo who figured on the UN sanctions sheet, and handed them to one of the Middle East countries."
"The question here is, rather, for Washington: who complies with resolutions and how?" he added.
