Kazakh Foreign Ministry confirms readiness to host talks on Syria

Kazakhstan's Foreign Ministry issued a statement today, which confirmed the country's readiness to host negotiations on the Syrian issue in Astana.

"We confirm the readiness, previously stated by President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, to host relevant inter-Syrian talks in Astana. We understand that the meeting can be held only in case of systematic compliance with the ceasefire," the statement said.
