Kazakh airlines allowed to use trans-Siberian routes

The Kazakh and Russian authorities have reached an agreement allowing Kazakh air carriers to make use of Trans-Siberian routes, the Kazakh Ministry for Investment and Development's press service said.

"Following the results of a number of negotiations, the Kazakh airlines were granted the right to accomplish flights with the use of the Trans-Siberian routes’ system, which allows unhindered opening of new routes to Ulaanbaatar and Tokyo," the message reads.

In addition, the Kazakh carriers had been entitled to perform daily flights on the routes of Astana-Baikonur and Almaty-Baikonur.
