According to Otyrar.kz, abundant rainfall hit melon and cotton fields in the Zhetysay district of the Turkestan region.
"The damage to my crops reaches over a million tenge. The expanses are added by the increased cost of diesel fuel. And the damage from the dead grapes is not less than 3 mln tenge. All the grapes died. This year, we are left without grapes,” Berdiyar Yedilbayev, a resident of the village of Aydala, who planted ten hectares of grapes, cotton and corn, complains.
In addition, the intense heat in the first days of summer in the Kyzylkum and Dildabekov rural districts caused damage to about a thousand hectares of crops. The losses of peasants have already exceeded tens of millions of tenge.
