Kazakhstan evacuates population from Kostanay region

As reported today in the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan, in the Kostanay region, villages are currently being evacuated due to a growing forest fire.

"People were evacuated from the village of Ozernoye (population 250 people) and the northern part of the village of Amankaragai (1,000 people). Three residential buildings are on fire in Ozernoye village", the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the republic specified.

The villages of Kalinino (228 people) and Lesnoye (363 people) are also being evacuated. A few minutes ago it became known about the threat to the oil depot in the village of Amankaragai.

Due to the ongoing heat and strong wind, the fire has already spread to the territory of ​​3,000 hectares.
