Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said that Kazakhstan aims to actively foster relations with China, with one of the key objectives being to boost mutual trade turnover to $100 billion.

"China is Kazakhstan’s leading trade and economic partner, ranking first in terms of bilateral trade volume. In 2023, this figure reached a record $40 billion. We have set the goal of increasing trade turnover to $100 billion, and we believe this goal is achievable," Tokayev said.

The Kazakh president noted that increasing trade turnover is an achievable goal, given the strong growth dynamics in the interaction between China and Kazakhstan.
