Kazakhstan's former PM Akhmetov stays under house arrest

Kazakhstan's former Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov will stay under house arrest until July 18, as requested by the Agency for Civil Service Affairs and Fighting Corruption, according to Alia Zhosheva, spokeswoman of the court.


Akhmetov is charged with graft, abuse of power, illegal business and high-scale embezzlement.
