Kazakhstan to restore direct flights to Egypt in March

Kazakhstan will restore direct air communication with Egypt, which was interrupted after the Kogalymavia plane crash over the Sinai Peninsula on 31 October, the Kazakh Ministry for Investments and Development said.

Kazakhstan-based SCAT company will operate direct flights from Almaty to Sharm el-Sheikh starting from March 2016. Fly Egypt will also launch a regular biweekly flight to Kazakhstan, Trend reports.

Regular flights between Kazakhstan and Egypt were resumed after an inspection carried out by the Civil Aviation Committee of Kazakhstan jointly with the Kazakhstan Tourist Association and the Egyptian aviation security agency at the airport in Sharm el-Sheikh.
