Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev called for active measures to stimulate economic growth in the region at the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) summit in Bishkek.
Kazakh leader stressed that right now, the CIS countries are launching the third phase of implementation of economic development strategy, adopted in 2008.
"The situation in the world economy has significantly changed, so Kazakhstan proposes to update the package of measures to stimulate economic growth in the CIS countries," he noted.
