A commission of the XI Kazan International Muslim Film Festival has received over 700 applications from 52 countries. This was announced by the press service of the Russian Council of Muftis.
The event will be held on September 5-11. The competition program includes 50 films from 25 countries selected by the commission, which a critic Sergey Lavrentiev leads.
Russia will show two films at the festival: ‘Rudolf Nureyev. Rudik’ by Farid Davletshin and ‘Escape from Moskvabad’ by Darya Poltoratskaya.
