Russian President Vladimir Putin has chosen the venue for the 2024 BRICS Leaders' Summit. The decree of the head of state says that the meeting of the presidents will take place in Kazan.
The document also states that in order to hold the event, an organizing committee will be formed. It will prepare the meeting and ensure Russia's chairmanship next year.
It is noted that Yury Ushakov, Aide to the President of Russia, has been appointed responsible for the organizing committee. He was instructed to draw up a plan of key events and a list of the organizing committee's members within a month.
