Kazinform reports official information about the activities of the presidential administration, parliament, government, regional authorities, national financial and industrial structures.
The agency maintains its newsfeeds in Kazakh, Russian, English and Chinese. In addition, it uses Latin script and Arabic script for the transmission of news in the Kazakh language for compatriots living abroad.
The collective of Kazinform consists of well-known TV and radio journalists, laureates of the President of Kazakhstan Award, winners of international and regional competitions, winners of honorary titles and awards.
In an interview with a correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza, the editor-in-chief of 'World of Eurasia' magazine Eduard Poletaev noted that Kazinform is one of the oldest Kazakhstani journalistic projects. "Previously, it was called the Kazakh Telegraph Agency, and now this project belongs to another news agency. In principle, based on the characteristics of journalism and feed rates of information, of course, for a long time it rightfully occupied leading positions in the Kazakh ASSR, the Kazakh SSR. Of course, there were some difficulties in the 90s, when the principles of presenting information and the essence of journalism in general significantly changed. However, with some support the agency started to develop and now it delivers balanced and objective information. Also a lot of official information," he said.
In her turn, the Deputy Director General of the Political Science Center 'North-South', Yulia Yakusheva, also expressed the view that Kazinform is a leading news agency of Kazakhstan and it has been maintaining its reputation for a long time. "As a person who, because of her profession, often has to deal with the staff of Kazinform, with correspondents, and as a reader of this agency, I can say that they manage to maintain their reputation due to the high professionalism of their employees, thanks to systematic work, and, of course, thanks to high-class management. It is obvious that the Kazinform team contains probably some of the best specialists of the media sphere in Kazakhstan," she explained.
