The head of the US Department of State, John Kerry, believes that the Syrian conflict can be resolved only by political means. He made this statement after talks with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
"A political solution is the only possibility of settling the Syrian crisis,’’ RIA Novosti cites Kerry.
The armed conflict has been continuing in Syria since 2011. The capture of part of the national territory of Syria by the terrorist group Islamic State makes the situation more complicated.
