US Secretary of State John Kerry has said at a press conference in Washington that Russia's support for Syrian President Bashar Assad defies peace in the region.
"It is known that Russia supports President Assad," he said.
According to the US Secretary of State, the only exception is the level of military presence. "This is not a challenge to our presence in the region. It is a challenge that you really want peace,’’ RIA Novosti reports.
