Kerry: US does not fear Russia's actions in Syria

The US Secretary of State, John Kerry, has stated that Russia's actions in Syria do not pose any threat to Washington.

"I do not see a threat in the fact that Russia creates additional (military) bases in Syria, where we have no bases and where we do not expect to stay in the long term," he noted. In addition, "Russia has created a Syrian missile defense system many years ago and it had a foothold there," Kerry added.

However, at the same time, the diplomat stated that Russia's actions in Syria lead to stabilization of the situation and end of the war. This, in turn, should have an impact on Europe, Jordan, Lebanon and create a threat for Israel, RIA Novosti reports.
