The USA actively helps Israel to develop its armed forces, including missile defense systems, and is ready to continue this cooperation in the future, the US Secretary of State John Kerry stated in his letter to members of Congress.
"Since 2009, given the bipartisan support in the Congress, the United States provided Israel with 20.5 billion dollars just in for the foreign military financing program. At the moment, the size of our aid amounts to about 8.5 million dollars a day just on this program," TASS quoted him as saying.
In addition, the United States is delivering the latest weapons to its partner. In particular, next year it will transfer multipurpose fifth generation F-35 fighters to Israel.
