Kerry appointed as chief negotiator on Syria from US

US Secretary of State John Kerry was appointed as the chief negotiator from Washington on the agreement on a ceasefire in Syria. The corresponding decision was made by US President Barack Obama.

The White House also noted that Russia should stop using the terrorist organization Daesh as a cover for involvement in the conflict in Syria, RIA Novosti reported.
