The war in Syria can stop only after President Bashar Assad's dismissal from his post. This opinion was expressed today by US Secretary of State John Kerry.
"There is no possibility of stopping the war if Assad remains,'' he stressed.
The US Secretary of State expressed hope that a mechanism for the implementation of the truce in Syria will be developed in the coming days.
"I know that it will be very difficult. I have no illusions,'' RIA Novosti cites Kerry as saying.
