Former UFC lightweight champion from Russia Khabib Nurmagomedov has been honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award Sky News Arabia. The award ceremony took place in Abu Dhabi.
According to the athlete, he does not understand for what merits he received the award, since he "just beat people." He also noted that there are other great sportsmen who deserve the award no less than him.
Khabib confessed his love to Abu Dhabi and recalled that in 2019, he defended his championship belt in a fight with Dustin Poirier, adding that this was the first UFC fight in his career that was attended by his father Abdulmanap.
The US denied a visa to Khabib's dad several times, so Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov was absent from his son's fights in America.
