The KhalifaSat will be launched on the 29th of October from the Tanegashima Space Center (TNSC)in Japan aboard the rocket H-IIA, Gulf Digital News reported.
Dubai Crown Prince, Head of the Executive Council Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum today took to his Twitter account to announce the launch date.
“The KhalifaSat will be blasted into space on the 29th of October”, he wrote, describing the launchdate as a defining moment for the UAE in the scientific and engineering fields.
He took pride in the Emirati competences who are working with the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre, stressing the importance of the fully Emirati-made KhalifaSat.
